The old paper map in my glovebox got me home tonight

I keep a folded 2019 city map under the passenger seat, just in case. My phone died near the highway exit in Tulsa and I had to find a detour around the closed bridge. It took me 15 minutes to remember how to read the grid lines, but I did it. Now I'm wondering if I should teach my kid how to use one too. Anyone else hold onto paper maps for the same reason?
