My uncle Rick has patched tires with those cheap sticky strings for 30 years and he swore up and down it would get me home from El Paso. Made it 41 miles before the plug shot out on I-10 and I was standing on the shoulder at 9 PM. Now I'm wondering if plugs ever really work or if he just got lucky all those times. What do you all use for a roadside fix, plugs or the patch from the inside?
