Had to pick between iced coffee or hot coffee this morning and it got weird

So I stood there for like 5 minutes at the Starbucks on 5th street trying to decide between iced and hot coffee even though it's 40 degrees out lol. I went with iced because I always do and honestly it tasted better than the hot version somehow. Has anyone else ever had that moment where a small choice like coffee temp just stops you in your tracks for no reason?

That's funny because I had a similar crisis at the grocery store last week over yogurt flavors. I stood there staring at strawberry vs peach for so long a stock guy asked if I needed help. The temp thing is real though. Hot coffee tastes like a hug on cold days but iced coffee hits different no matter the weather. Did the cold air make the iced one seem extra refreshing or what?

Man I had a friend who drove 20 minutes out of her way to grab an iced coffee in a snowstorm last winter. She sat there shivering in her car but swore the cold drink mixed with the cold air was the most awake she'd ever felt. I still don't get it but she was grinning like a maniac so who am I to judge.
