Just found out I've been cracking eggs with the wrong hand for 32 years

So this morning I'm making breakfast and my roommate walks in, watches me for like 10 seconds, and goes 'wait, are you left handed?' and I said no, and he just stared at me. Turns out I've been holding the egg in my left hand and hitting it with my right, which is backwards for a righty. I never even thought about it, it just felt normal. Has anyone else had one of those dumb automatic things you do forever before someone points it out and you feel like a robot glitch?

The real question is does your roommate crack eggs normal and you just never watched anybody do it that close before, or have you been doing this your whole life and nobody in 32 years caught it? What took them so long to say something?

Picture it like this: I grew up cracking eggs one-handed against the bowl rim. Fast, clean, no mess. Then I see my roommate do the two-thumb push on the countertop and honestly thought she was trying to break into a safe or something. She looked at me like I was the weird one. Turns out we both had it backwards. She’d never seen anybody crack eggs like me and I’d never seen anybody do it her way. Nobody said anything for three months because we both just assumed our way was the only way. It’s not about who’s right or wrong, it’s about nobody asking sooner.
