A customer's comment about my speed changed how I work the register

Last Thursday at the grocery store in Columbus, this older lady told me I was moving too slow bagging her eggs and that she could do it faster with one hand tied behind her back. I started timing myself on every transaction after that, and now I'm rushing so much I keep dropping produce on the floor. Has anyone else taken a rude comment like that and turned it into a habit you can't shake, or am I just letting one stranger live in my head for free?

60% of customers complain slow, not fast. Do the math.
