I finally hit a wall with my side hustle after 18 months of trying

I was selling handmade leather wallets on Etsy while working a 9-5 IT job, thinking I could balance both easily. But my weekend shop time turned into 3am nights, and I burned out so bad I couldn't even look at a piece of leather for two weeks. How do you all keep the gap from swallowing your whole life?

Did you ever stop to figure out which parts actually made money before you crashed?

...like it really matters that much in the long run. I mean, people act like this was some huge disaster but it was just a business thing that didn't work out. Most of these "projects" are just people trying stuff and some of it fails, that's how it goes. It's not like anyone got hurt or anything, it's just money that got lost and honestly that happens all the time. Everyone gets so dramatic about it but it's really not that deep.

yeah but I saw this article that broke down how some of those projects actually WERE making money before everything went sideways. it's not like it was just random gambling or something, there was real revenue coming in from certain parts. I think that changes things a bit when you look at it that way, because it wasn't just a total failure from the start. plus some of the people who lost money weren't exactly rich investors, they were regular folks who got talked into putting in savings. so while I get your point about it not being the end of the world, I don't think it's fair to say it was just a normal business thing that didn't work out.
