Ugh, tell me about it. I spent six months making fun of my roommate's sourdough starter, called it her "flour baby", and then she sold a single loaf to a local cafe for enough to cover our electric bill. Meanwhile my "smart" investment was a vintage typewriter I bought to feel creative, which now just holds my mail. I'm starting to think my real passion project is just getting humbled on a monthly basis, and honestly, it's not paying anything.
