Took me 14 weekends and half a guest room to finish a navy blue quilt my job kept interrupting
My day job in billing eats my week so I only got to sew on Saturdays, and it took 4 months to stitch 87 squares because I kept ripping out seams. Finished it last night at 11pm, and my partner said it looks like a real store one. Anyone else hide a hobby project from their boss so they don't ask why you're tired on Monday?
My grandma made quilts too and she had this rule about never ripping seams more than twice, said the third time you just sew it crooked and call it handmade. 87 squares though, that's a lot of chances to test that rule. Navy blue was a good pick, hides the coffee stains from those late night sewing sessions.
