Bought a $5 store brand deodorant and now I'm stuck in a weird armpit rash cycle

Two weeks ago I grabbed that clear gel kind from the dollar bin at a gas station outside of Phoenix. By day three my pits were red and angry like a bad sunburn. Now I'm back to my regular brand but the rash won't quit. Anyone else had a cheap product mess up their skin for way longer than it should?

Man that "red and angry like a bad sunburn" line hit close to home. I did something similar last summer with a clearance spray-on that turned my pits into a weeping mess, like a sad little volcano. Took almost three weeks for the itch to stop even after switching back to my old brand. I ended up just walking around with my arms glued to my sides like a penguin for a month hoping nobody would notice. Never cheaping out on pit stuff again.

Blast your pits with cheap spray deodorant they said. It'll be fine they said. Now you're living proof that saving three bucks isn't worth having your armpits look like a political protest sign.
