I dropped $600 on a standing desk six months ago and just switched back to sitting, here is why I changed my mind
I was all in on the standing desk thing for about a year. Dropped $600 on one of those electric ones with the memory buttons so I could switch back and forth. Six months in my knees started aching and I was shifting around way more than I ever did in a chair. What actually got me was my buddy who works at a warehouse in Dayton, Ohio, he stands on concrete all day and his doctor told him to sit more, not less. So I tried just sitting again for two weeks and my back felt better almost right away. Now I mostly sit and only stand for like 20 minutes after lunch. Am I the only one who thinks the whole standing desk push got way overblown?
