My crockpot died 20 minutes into a 9 hour chili on Sunday and I want to know if I'm the only one who panics
Sunday around 11am I dumped $30 of beef and peppers into the crockpot and at 11:20 the whole thing just went dead. I stood there in my kitchen in Tucson holding a cold pot and seriously thought about eating half cooked chili. Ended up roasting everything on a sheet pan in the oven at 375 for like an hour and honestly it came out better than the crockpot ever did. Now I'm wondering if slow cookers were always sort of a scam or if mine just gave up at a bad time, so did your crockpot ever die mid cook and what did you do with the food?
