That $35 IKEA shelf took me 6 hours to install
I bought this cheap floating shelf from IKEA thinking it would be a 20 minute job. First off, the drywall anchors they included were completely useless. I spent 45 minutes at Home Depot trying to find the right toggle bolts and then another hour arguing with my stud finder because it kept beeping at nothing. Three trips to the hardware store later and I finally got the thing mounted. Has anyone else had a simple project turn into an all day nightmare?
