That cashier at the Walmart on Broad Street asked me if I was okay

I was buying a single frozen pizza at 9pm on a Tuesday a few months back, looking like a total mess after a rough day at work. She just looked me right in the eye and said 'honey, you doing alright?' in a way that didn't feel fake at all. Has anyone else had a complete stranger say something that actually cut through your mood and stuck with you?

Man, that hits hard. A little kindness can really save your night sometimes.

Ngl I've been thinking about this too. It's like a random stranger holding the door a few extra seconds or a barista writing a dumb joke on your cup can totally flip your whole mood. But here's the thing nobody talks about - sometimes it's the kindness you give that saves your own night. I bought a coffee for the guy behind me last week just because and honestly my whole day felt lighter after that. It's wild how helping someone else can pull you out of a funk faster than anything else.

Start doing it without expecting anything back and see what happens. I paid for a stranger's toll once and felt better than any self care day ever did. That feeling sticks with you longer than most good moods do.
