Figured out the secret to getting paid faster in this city - stop emailing invoices

I was stuck waiting 45 to 60 days for payments from local shops around Dearborn. Then an old timer told me to just hand deliver the invoice in person and ask for a check right there. Tried it with 3 contractors last month and all 3 paid me same day. Has anyone else found that Detroit folks respond way better to face to face than digital?

My neighbor still uses a flip phone and somehow gets more done than half the street staring at their screens. It's like people forget that just because something's old doesn't mean it's broken.

Well around here the old timers swear by it but I've seen too many people stuck with stuff that just doesn't fit right anymore. Seems like mixing in some newer ideas makes everything work better.
