An old timer in Billings told me I was over-torquing injector lines by feel and it was causing my own headaches.
I started using a torque wrench set to 18 foot-pounds on every single one and haven't had a comeback for a leak since, so what's one piece of advice that fixed a bad habit for you guys?

Honestly, the thing that fixed a bad habit for me was realizing my torque wrench was out of calibration and I had been guessing wrong for years. I kept having this intermittent leak on a 7.3 Powerstroke and it drove me nuts. Finally broke down and got the wrench checked and it was off by almost 5 foot-pounds. Now I check it every six months with a simple beam style wrench I keep as a backup. It's one of those little details that makes all the difference but nobody talks about.

Buddy of mine used to snap drill bits left and right until somebody told him to stop using the wrong speed. He always ran them at max RPM because he figured faster was better, ruined a whole set in one weekend. Now he actually checks the chart on the side of the box and his bits last way longer.
