Start with checking the basics before you throw parts at it, @rubyk26. My buddy's Silverado did the same thing, surging and stalling like it was haunted. Turned out the MAP sensor was clogged with carbon from a dirty air filter. Cleaned it with some electrical contact cleaner and a soft brush, gave the air filter a good tap, and it ran smooth for months after. Might save you a tow bill if you try that first.

@patricia_gonzalez hit the nail on the head. Sounds like that truck needs an exorcist more than a mechanic.
