PSA: That cheap injector cleaning machine from Amazon is a scam

Bought a $60 ultrasonic injector cleaner off Amazon, ran it on a set of six injectors, and two came out worse than they went in with clogged nozzles. Anyone else find a decent way to clean injectors without dropping $400 on a real machine?

Yeah I gotta disagree with you on this one... I've been using a $60 ultrasonic cleaner from Amazon for like two years now and it does fine on injectors. The trick is you can't just throw them in and hope for the best. You gotta backflush them with carb cleaner first to break up the crap, then run the ultrasonic with a good solution. Also if you're not using a 12v power supply to pulse the injectors while they're in the bath you're just wasting your time. Most people skip that step then blame the machine. Your two clogged ones probably had varnish buildup that needed a soak longer than 15 minutes.

Wait, are you telling me people just drop injectors in and walk away? I made that mistake my first time too and learned real quick you gotta babysit these things with the pulsing trick or they come out worse than they went in. Yeah the Amazon machines are fine as long as you put in the elbow grease, the real scam is thinking it's gonna be a magic fix with zero effort.
