That time I tried cheap fuel injectors to save $200

Had a 6.7 Powerstroke with a dead injector. Looked at OEM prices and said no way. Bought a set of remanufactured ones for $600 instead of $800. Lasted about 4 months before one started knocking like crazy. Learned my lesson. Anyone else get burned by cheap injectors?

That line about skipping testing steps makes sense. Seen the same pattern with cheap brake pads and alternators - they cut corners somewhere to hit that low price and you end up paying more in the long run.

Read somewhere those reman injectors skip critical testing steps and that's why they fail quick.

Those $800 injectors probably had the same testing as the $600 ones though.
