The old 5.9 that smoked like a freight train until I swapped the injectors
Picked up a 1996 Dodge ram 2500 with 340k on it, thing blew white smoke so bad you couldnt see the tailgate. Put in a set of Bosch reman injectors last Sunday, cleared up after about 15 minutes of idle. Anyone else see a huge difference just from injectors alone, or did I get lucky with the pump?

White smoke usually means unburnt fuel or timing, so if the injectors were dumping too much that would do it. 340k on the originals is way past due, so swapping them was the right call either way. Keep an eye on the fuel pressure and check for any leaks at the lines, sometimes those old fittings dont seal back up right.
