I finally tried a free brush pack I thought was too good to be true

For the longest time, I avoided those 'procreate free brush' ads, thinking they were just junk to get your email. Last month, I downloaded the 'Jingsketch' basic set on a whim, and it actually had a perfect dry ink brush I'd been trying to make myself. It completely changed how I do my line art sketches now, saving me a ton of setup time. Has anyone else found a surprisingly good free tool that became a staple in their workflow?

Wait, is one brush really that big of a deal? Sounds like you just got lucky.

Have you ever tried painting with a brush that keeps losing hairs? A bad tool makes you fight it instead of doing your job, wesley_jones. That's not luck, it's just using something that actually works right.

Know exactly what you mean about it sounding like luck. Felt the same way until my old brush started shedding bristles everywhere and ruined a whole batch of frosting. Switched to a sturdier one and suddenly my edges were clean every single time. That one tool really can make or break your results.

Honestly, that just sounds like a bad brush. A decent one shouldn't shed like that. Maybe @the_simon just had a really old or cheap tool. A steady hand with any decent brush gets clean edges, it's more about skill than the gear. Plenty of bakers get great results without chasing the perfect brush.
