My grandma's crayon idea for my digital art showcase
In my experience, family views on digital art can be pretty funny. My grandma saw my showcase piece and asked if she could brighten it up with her old crayons. Take this with a grain of salt, but we all got a good laugh from it.

Wait, how old are these crayons she's talking about? The idea of someone taking actual crayons to a screen just blows my mind. I can picture the waxy little nubs from like 1998. That's a wild mix of the real world and digital stuff.

Hold up, she said 1998? That means those crayons could be older than some people on this forum. That's a whole museum piece of waxy art supplies right there. The mental image of someone finding a box of those and thinking "yes, the TV needs this" is actually kind of amazing. It's like two different eras crashing into each other in the worst way. Do you think they were the classic 64 pack with the sharpener?

Agree completely, the idea of crayons on screens is nuts. I remember my cousin using a crayon on a computer monitor around 2000. It left a colorful smear that never came off fully. That mix of old school art supplies and new tech always ends badly. It shows how much we've moved from physical to digital tools. Thinking about it now, it's hilarious but also kind of sad.

Read an old tech forum post where someone tried cleaning crayon off a plasma TV with alcohol, made it WAY worse. The wax melted into the anti-glare layer, left a permanent haze. Total nightmare. It's crazy how something so simple from childhood can wreck expensive gear.
