Pro tip: I finally stopped overworking my line art layers.

I kept seeing people post art with muddy, thick lines and my own work looked the same until a tutorial from an artist in Chicago showed me to keep my brush opacity at 70% and use a separate layer for sketch cleanup. How do you keep your line work looking clean and sharp?

That's like the art version of working smarter not harder.

Switched to cheap brushes and never looked back.

Read an article about a painter who just uses house paint on drywall. The results are surprisingly good and it saves a ton on materials. Sometimes the smart move is just picking the right tool for the job.
