PSA: The digital art exhibit at the downtown library had the worst screen glare

I took my kids to see that new 'Pixel Dreams' showcase at the main branch yesterday, and half the animated pieces were totally washed out from the overhead lights. I mean, they spent all that time on the art but put it in a room with giant windows and no shades, idk what they were thinking. Has anyone else tried to view a digital show in a badly lit space and found it ruined the whole thing?

Yeah it's like they forget the whole point is to see the thing, lol. Like what skyler_jackson27 said about the VR, it's not just art shows, I see this with digital menus at restaurants in the sun too. Just a basic planning fail that keeps happening.

My buddy went to a VR art thing at a community center last month and said the same thing. He had to stand in a spot where the sun was blasting right through a skylight onto his headset lenses. The whole experience was just a blurry mess of light and he said it gave him a headache after five minutes. It's crazy how often they set up this tech without checking the basic stuff like where the light falls. Makes you wonder if the people planning it ever actually try to look at the art themselves.

Did they not even try it first?
