Remember when everyone said you needed a $1,000 tablet for good line art?

I struggled with shaky lines on my old Intuos for years, but last month I finally tried turning on the 'brush smoothing' setting in Krita to about 15. It made my sketches look so much cleaner without feeling laggy. What's one simple software trick that made a big difference for you?

Oh I saw a tutorial that said to crank it up to like 80% for cleaner lines. Makes a huge difference.

But which program are they even talking about, @valellis? Smoothing that high can feel really laggy in some apps. I'd need to know the software before trying it myself.

The "crank it to 80%" advice is everywhere now. It's like people think more smoothing equals instant skill. I tried that once and my lines looked like jellyfish. Reminds me of how everyone wants shortcuts instead of just putting in the practice.
