That $180 drawing tablet I bought off eBay arrived cracked last week

Picked up a used Huion Kamvas 16 from a seller in Austin and it showed up with a dead pixel strip across the middle. The listing photos looked clean, no mention of damage, and eBay's return process is dragging with the seller ignoring messages. I should have dropped the extra $60 for a new one from the official store, now I'm out the cash and my weekend commission piece is stuck. Anyone else get burned buying secondhand art gear, or did I just hit a bad seller?
