That 3AM colorspace trick finally stopped my art looking washed out on Instagram

Spent a year wondering why my digital paintings looked dull after uploading, then a tutorial I found last Tuesday said to convert from sRGB to Display P3 before saving and it actually held the vibrance, has anyone else had luck with that specific profile?

Honestly wonder if this is just placebo effect. I tried it and couldn't tell the difference on my phone. Maybe if you're printing it or showing on a really high end monitor it matters. Most people are just scrolling on their phones anyway.

I have to respectfully disagree. I see a pretty clear difference even on my phone, especially with things like fine text or subtle gradients. For instance, when I look at a photo with a lot of sky or grass, the lower quality version looks blocky and the colors blend together. The better version keeps all those little details sharp, like individual blades of grass or clouds that don't just look like a white blob. Maybe it depends on what you're looking at, but for me, the difference is right there on a regular screen.

Tbh @ellioth37 I feel you, I was skeptical too but the sRGB to Display P3 switch actually made a real difference for me.
