That $50 brush set from Amazon was a complete waste
Bought a 12-pack of 'pro' brushes for digital painting. First one shed bristles within 10 minutes of using it in Procreate. Stick to the cheap single brushes from the art store instead, anyone else get burned by those cheap multipacks?

saw a reviewer say theirs arrived with dried glue spots all over the bristles, that's rough.

Wait, are we paying full price or getting a discount for the "factory second" look? That's basically free texture built right into the brush. I ordered a pair of headphones once and they came with a little note saying "tested for quality" plus a fingerprint smudge the size of Texas right on the earcup. Like, at least wipe it down before you call it quality tested. Dried glue is somehow worse though, feels like someone was mid-assembly and just gave up. I'd probably keep the brush just to mess with customer support later, see how far I could get with a refund.

Spencer, the "free texture" angle is gold. You could frame it as a limited edition 'distressed' finish. Charge extra for the glue spots like a boutique denim company does for pre-ripped jeans. The customer support run sounds like a fun experiment, see if you can get them to admit their 'factory second' is just the Tuesday shift. Worst case you get a refund and a free, albeit sticky, brush. Best case you get enough credit to order a second one and compare glue patterns.
