Found a weird trick that doubled my client's form fills in 3 days

I was stuck on a client who runs a local landscaping business. Their contact form was getting maybe 5 submissions a week no matter how good the ad copy was. Out of frustration I tried swapping the CTA button from 'Get a Free Quote' to 'See If We Can Help Your Lawn' and added a short 2 question quiz before the form. It felt stupid and way too casual but conversions jumped to 12 submissions that first week. Has anyone else messed with changing up CTAs like that or am I just late to the party?

Did the quiz questions actually filter out bad leads or was it more just breaking the ice so people didn't feel locked into a commitment? Curious if the quality stayed the same.

The quiz was just a gimmick, it didn't actually change the quality of leads at all.

Try swapping the button text first before changing anything else in my experience it's the easiest win.
