Had a talk with a mentor that changed how I pitch clients
I sat down with a retired agency owner last week over lunch. He told me most small businesses don't care about keywords or backlinks, they just want to know if you can make their phone ring. That hit me hard because I spent 6 months with a local plumber focusing on SEO rankings and he nearly fired me. Now I lead every pitch with a simple question about their biggest sales problem. Has anyone else bumped into this gap between what we sell and what clients actually need?
