Saw a local coffee shop's social media setup that actually works
I was at The Daily Grind in Springfield last week and noticed they had a tablet by the register showing live Instagram comments. The barista told me they started doing it 3 months ago and their follower count went up by 1,200. They post a daily 'drink of the day' story and ask people to vote on the next one in the comments. It's super simple but gets people talking. Made me think about how we could do something similar for our smaller retail clients. Anyone tried a live social feed in a physical store for a client?

Wait, they got 1,200 new followers just from that? That's wild.

The first time I saw numbers like that I had to double check the analytics screen three times. It was just a silly 30 second video of me trying to fix a broken charger with tape and it blew up overnight. The trick is to catch that momentum quick like reply to comments and post a follow up within 24 hours or it fades. Most people don't realize how fast that initial surge dies if you don't ride the wave immediately.
