Shoutout to the client who showed me my landing page was broken on mobile
I visited a coffee shop in downtown Austin last Tuesday and pulled up my agency's site to show a friend. The text was overlapping, buttons were unclickable, and the whole thing looked like a mess. I had been running Facebook ads for 3 weeks sending people to that page. Probably wasted around $800 on clicks that went straight to a broken experience. A client actually screenshotted it and sent it to me the next day. Has anyone else had a mobile issue slip through after multiple checks?

That $800 lesson taught you the REAL value of testing on actual devices before spending ad money.

Man that's a rough but necessary lesson, sorry you had to learn it that way.

Did you ever run a heatmap or session recording on that landing page before the ads went live? Seems like maybe those tools could have caught the mobile issue without needing a client to call it out. Or did you just rely on preview mode in whatever builder you're using? I've found that even when I check on my own phone, stuff looks different on other devices, especially older models. What's your process now for making sure mobile doesn't get overlooked again?
