Watched a bakery in Denver run their Instagram for a week and it changed how I look at content

I was grabbing coffee at this spot called Rise & Shine near my hotel and noticed their Instagram posts were just bad phone photos of croissants. But they had 15k followers and were packed every morning. I asked the owner about it and she said they only post 3 times a week with zero effort. Meanwhile I'm overthinking every graphic for my agency clients. It hit me that consistency and a local angle beat fancy production every time. Has anyone else seen a local business crush it with simple content while you're stressing over your feed?

Man I used to think you needed fancy cameras for engagement but this totally flips that.

Right on, thats exactly what Ive been seeing too. There's this taco truck near my place that literally posts one blurry photo of their specials like 4 times a week and theyve got a line around the block every single night. I spent months trying to get perfect lighting for my food pics and it got like half the engagement their sloppy shots get. The whole thing just proves that people want to feel like theyre in the know about a real local spot, not some polished ad. It honestly made me stop stressing about my own feed and just post whatever feels true to what Im doing day to day. Makes you wonder why we ever thought expensive gear was the shortcut.
