Watched a client chase a $50 Facebook ad boost for 3 hours instead of fixing their landing page and it hit me
I was sitting at a coffee shop in Nashville last Tuesday, helping a friend with his e-commerce site. He kept tweaking ad targeting, upping the budget, all that. I asked him when he last checked his page load speed. He said never. His bounce rate was like 70%. All that ad money just disappearing into thin air. Has anyone else dealt with clients who obsess over one thing but ignore the basics?

hall.joel nailed it with the Instagram perfect site broken thing. I just told my guy straight up, you're throwing money into a leaky bucket, and walked him through fixing the basics first. Once his page speed went from like 8 seconds to under 2, his conversions actually went up without boosting a single post.

Had a buddy who spent six months building Instagram followers and perfecting his hashtag game. His actual website was a mess. Couldn't find the buy button without a magnifying glass. Customers would get to his site and just leave.
