Appreciation post: Hitting 50 coffee shop wifi passwords saved in my phone notes

I was looking for a random appointment reminder yesterday and found this long note I started two years ago with wifi passwords from cafes I've worked at. I counted them up and it's 53 now across 12 different countries. Some of them are really funny like "password123" or the name of the owner's dog. I remember the first one was a tiny place in Medellin where the barista just shrugged and pointed at the receipt. It's not a huge deal but it made me realize how much ground I've actually covered in this lifestyle. Has anyone else kept a list like this or do you just ask every time?

That thing about getting too shy to ask, I know exactly how that feels. I spent a whole summer in Barcelona going to this one bakery where the counter girl would just sigh and type it in for me without saying anything because I never learned how to ask in Spanish. It got to the point where I'd time my pastry buying with when her shift ended because the other workers would just shrug and wave me away.

Fifty three is impressive honestly, I have one note that's just "free wifi" with no passwords and a bunch of question marks from places where I got too shy to ask.
