Coworking space in Medellin had zero power outlets near tables

Went to a popular spot in El Poblado last week and every desk was against the wall, but the tables in the middle had no plugs at all. Had to sit on the floor by a pillar to charge my laptop. Has anyone else run into this layout issue at coworking spaces?

Have you tried asking the staff if they have extension cords or power strips available? Most places will let you borrow one if you just flag someone down.

Used to just assume you'd have to hunt down a spare cord yourself or go without until you got home honestly something I never even considered asking about. But a buddy of mine did exactly this at a coffee shop last week, just asked a barista if they had one, and they handed him a strip no problem. Really changed my whole mindset on it, feels like we overcomplicate stuff when most places are totally cool with helping out if you just ask.

Yeah the "just ask" thing really got me too. I used to be the same way, always assuming I'd have to tough it out or find some weird spot near an outlet (which is always awkward when you're camped out on the floor). I had this happen just a couple weeks ago at a bookstore cafe, my laptop was totally dead and I was about to leave. The barista noticed me looking around like an idiot and just asked if I needed a charge. They had a whole strip behind the counter and just handed it to me. Totally changed my mindset, makes me wonder how many times I made things harder on myself for no reason.
