I thought the 'nomad visa' for Portugal was just hype, but the process was actually smooth.

Got my D7 approved in under 60 days after submitting everything online from Mexico City. What's a place you were surprised by how easy the paperwork was?

Honestly thought Spain's digital nomad visa would be a total mess. Figured it was all talk. But applying from Chile was weirdly straightforward, just needed the contract and bank stuff. Totally changed my view on it.

Wow @wood.eric, it's funny how often the easiest things are the ones we expect to be a total nightmare.

Straightforward for you maybe. My friend in Argentina got stuck in paperwork hell for months.

Paperwork hell" sounds about right for anything government related. Your friend in Argentina probably had to prove they exist in triplicate.
