Rant: I used to work from cafes every day, now I rent a tiny office in Chiang Mai

Back when I started digital nomad life about 3 years ago, I thought I had to be in a cafe with my laptop to feel productive. I'd spend $5 a day on lattes and pastries just to use their wifi, and my back would ache by 2 PM from those hard wooden chairs. Then last month I found a co-working space near the old city here that rents a small private room for $150 a month. It's got AC, a real desk, and a door I can close when I need to focus on calls. My output has doubled since I switched, and I save money too. Has anyone else made the jump from cafes to a proper workspace and noticed a difference?

Funny enough, @kelly385 mentioned bumping into people, but last week I got stuck in a cafe bathroom for 20 minutes because the lock jammed and someone had to crawl under the door to get me out. That never happens with my own office door, and honestly, that's the kind of random encounter I can live without.
