Showerthought: Remember when 'working from the beach' meant dodging seagulls and sand in your laptop?

Now it's just avoiding slow Wi-Fi at overpriced cafes.

What's the appeal of working from a cafe anyway? You just trade sand for bad wifi and overpriced drinks. It doesn't feel like much of an upgrade.

Overheard someone at a cafe complaining about that exact thing yesterday.

Complaining about cafe work seems like a small thing to get upset about. People often talk about minor issues without any real impact. Bad wifi and expensive drinks are just part of the deal when you choose to work there. Maybe some people enjoy the background noise and a different view from their usual desk. It's not a major problem worth all the fuss. We all have bigger things to worry about in our day.

My three cafes this month all had wifi that cut out every hour.
