The wifi in my Chiang Mai apartment went from perfect to a dial-up nightmare in one week

I was getting a solid 80 Mbps down for months, then last Tuesday it dropped to 0.5. Turns out the building owner, without telling anyone, switched the entire complex to a cheaper provider to save money. I had to explain to a client on a video call that my screen was frozen because my internet was now powered by what felt like two cans and a string. Has anyone else in Thailand had a landlord pull a fast one like this?

Heard about a friend whose landlord did the same thing in Bangkok.

That's rough, did your friend get their deposit back in the end? It's crazy how common this is.

Sounds like a pattern. Landlords there seem to think they can get away with anything.

Used to think it was just bad luck, but @the_thea is right, it's a real pattern here lol.
