Found a cheap way to level cabinet doors without shims
I was fighting with a crooked cabinet door for weeks and nothing I tried worked. Finally I grabbed a pack of 10 cent nylon washers from the hardware aisle and stacked them behind the hinge screws. Has anyone else used a simple hardware store item to fix a frustrating problem like this?

Saw a forum post where a guy used flattened pennies behind his hinges for the same reason. Nylon washers seem like a cleaner solution though, less chance of rust or rattling.

The flattened penny trick sounds like something I'd try drunk at 2am and then wonder why my cabinet doors are permanently crooked. Nylon washers are probably the way to go for anyone who doesn't enjoy explaining their penny collection to confused handymen.
