Had to decide between a $40 laminate countertop kit or a full tile job for my kitchenette.
I went with the laminate to save time and after a weekend of careful cutting with my jigsaw, it looks surprisingly good, but does anyone have tips for keeping the seams clean long-term?

Honestly, it's just a kitchenette, not a museum piece.

My grandma's 1950s kitchenette is literally in a museum now.

That laminate can look sharp for years if you seal the seams right. A thin bead of clear silicone caulk along the edge where it meets the wall stops gunk from getting in there. Just wipe the excess with a damp finger right away. For the seams between sheets, a good paste wax buffed in every few months keeps water out and makes cleaning spills easy. The main thing is to never let water sit on those cut edges.
