Look at all this talk about perfect paint jobs lol. It's just some cabinets, not a museum piece. My kitchen's been three different colors and I never even cleaned the walls first. Bright white is fine but it's not that deep, a room is a room.

Wait, did you paint over the old color in just one weekend? That's fast work. I always need a full day just for cleaning and taping everything off first. The bright white really does make a huge difference though, it feels like you get a whole new room.

Oh trust me, it was a total mess by Sunday night. I skipped the cleaning part and just painted right over a cobweb in the corner. The secret is a really good primer and a complete lack of standards for a neat edge. That bright white is forgiving, hides a lot of my shaky cutting in.

Honestly that's the only way to get it done... I just slap the paint on the wall and fix the big mistakes later. A good angled brush helps a lot with cutting in, you can kind of push it into the edge. And yeah, bright white is a lifesaver for hiding sins.
