My neighbor in Bellingham watched me struggle with a fence post for an hour before he walked over and said, 'Kid, you're fighting the ground, not working with it.'

What did he show you that actually worked? That's a huge lesson right there, fighting the ground is a losing battle every time. The right trick with water or a different tool changes everything. Did his advice fix it fast?

He used a pressure washer on a low setting to soften the dirt around the post. It slid right out after that, took maybe two minutes. It's a good example of how forcing things usually just breaks stuff. Finding the right approach saves so much time and frustration in the long run.

Yeah exactly, like @knight.dylan said, it's all about the right trick. Fighting it just wrecks your whole day.
