My old way of painting trim was a total mess

I used to just tape everything off and hope for the best, which always left me with messy lines and paint on the carpet. After watching a video from a painter in Boise, I switched to using a 2-inch angled brush and cutting in by hand. The difference after three rooms is huge, and I don't waste time on tape anymore. Has anyone else found that a simple tool change made a job way easier?

That Boise painter's method is a gamble for most people. My hands aren't steady enough to get a clean line without tape. I tried it once and had to redo the whole wall.

Ever try a smaller brush for more control?

Smaller brush? My hands shake like I'm holding a live wire. I'd end up painting the ceiling and the floor.
