That one Saturday I tried to save $50 by regrouting my shower and ended up calling a pro after 4 hours

I thought I could handle it with a $12 grout saw and a tube of premix, but after chipping three tiles and making a dusty mess that took two days to clean, I finally admitted some jobs are worth paying for.

Oh yeah, "after chipping three tiles" is EXACTLY what happened to me. I thought I was being careful but the grout saw just slid right off and left a big scratch in the tile. Had to buy a whole stupid tile touch up kit to fix it and then the color didn't match.

My buddy tried that same trick and ended up with a tile that looks like a cat shredded it, lol.

@the_diana probably upgraded to a gold-plated shower by now after that scratch repair saga. Sounds like we all learned the hard way that "handyman" is just code for "someone who's ruined their own bathroom already.
