Tried to fix a squeaky floor and ended up in my crawlspace for 3 hours
Picked up one of those screw-down kits from Home Depot for $15. Thought it would be a quick 20 minute job. One of the screws hit a pipe and I spent an hour with a flashlight trying to figure out what I hit. Then my phone died and I couldn't see a thing. Anyone else get trapped in their own crawlspace because of a simple fix?

Yeah that is seriously the worst. I did the exact same thing last fall, went in to fix a loose floorboard and ended up on my back in the dark for two hours with a screwdriver and a lot of swearing. My phone battery was at like 15% and I kept thinking about how there was no way anyone would hear me yelling from down there. Ended up having to use the screen light from my phone to find my way back to the access panel. Now I always keep a headlamp and a backup battery pack in the junk drawer near the crawlspace door.
