Can we talk about that guy I saw using a drafting brush for digital work?
I was at a coffee shop last Tuesday and this younger drafter had a whole setup going on a tablet. He was using one of those old school drafting brushes to dust off his screen between strokes. I mean it made me think about how we still hold onto some physical habits even when everything's gone digital. Maybe it's just me but I feel like that tactile thing can help with accuracy when you're doing line work. Has anyone else kept an old tool from the board days that still finds a use on your computer?

Drafting brushes are just another way we drag analog habits into digital spaces.

Man I dunno, I actually kinda get it though. Sometimes you just need that muscle memory to feel right, even if it's not technically the smartest move. Those old habits stick with you for a reason.

Wait he was actually using a drafting brush on a tablet screen? I had to read that twice because that sounds like a disaster waiting to happen. Those brushes aren't exactly soft and I'd be worried about scratching the screen or pushing dust into the edges. Don't you think there's a better tool for that? I mean I get the whole tactile memory thing but a drafting brush is pretty aggressive for a glass surface. Maybe he's got a glass screen protector or something but still that makes me nervous just thinking about it.
