Drafting my kitchen remodel made me miss the feel of paper blueprints
Everything's on screens now, but flipping through old plans has a charm software can't match, right?

Yeah totally get that. Tried to sketch my own layout once, lines looked like a seismograph reading. The software fixes my mistakes, but it feels sterile. Something about the smudges and coffee rings on real paper that a perfect digital file just can't copy. My shaky hand drawn lines had more personality, even if they were totally wrong.

Wait, but those clean digital files are what clients actually need to work with! Personality's great until it costs time and money to fix.

Right there with you @wells.zara. My old sketchbooks are a total mess of graphite smudges and coffee drips, but flipping through them feels like reading a diary. The perfect vectors I send off just feel like a receipt, cold and done. That weird energy in the messy lines is totally gone.
