Remember when we had to manually check every single dimension on a set of prints?

I got a set of old drawings from 2005 last week that needed updating. Spent 3 hours just trying to figure out the layer scheme because they didn't use any standards back then. Anyone else have to deal with this kind of mess?

Oh man, "layer scheme" is giving me flashbacks. I once spent a whole afternoon just trying to figure out why everything was on a layer called "0" but in six different colors. It was like a bad puzzle.

Tell me about it, I found a set from 1998 once where every single line type was just continuous. No hidden layers, no standards, just a pure nightmare to untangle. I had to rebuild half the title block from scratch because the text was all exploded. Those old drawings are like archeology, but way more frustrating.

Yeah, that "layer 0 in six colors" thing is a classic move. I read a forum post once where someone called it "CAD anarchy".
