Sliver of graphite broke off inside my scale drawing right before a client meeting

I was at my desk at the office, doing final touch ups on a floor plan for a retail buildout. Got distracted by a phone call. Came back. Stabbed my 0.5mm lead right into the paper. That gray streak ruined the whole corner. Client was due in 20 minutes. Had to erase the whole section and redraw that quadrant from scratch. Rushed it. Cramped my hand. Now I keep spare prints and a backup set of drawings with lighter pencil pressure. Anyone else have a tiny slip up ruin a whole presentation?

Oh man, I actually winced reading that. A snapped lead right before a client walkthrough is like a tiny heart attack on paper. I've definitely had that moment where you're just staring at the mistake frozen, knowing you've got minutes to fix it. Rushing always makes the hand cramp worse too, it's like your body is punishing you for the stress. Your backup set of lighter pressure drawings is a smart move, I might have to steal that idea honestly.
